How to Submit Your Shopify Store to Google
Verify your store in Google Search Console, submit your sitemap and get your pages indexed.
Google will find your store eventually. Search Console makes it faster and, more importantly, tells you which pages are indexed and which are not.
Add your property in Search Console
Create a property using your storefront domain. Domain properties cover every subdomain and protocol.
Verify ownership
Choose DNS verification and add the TXT record at your registrar, or use the HTML tag method and paste the tag into theme.liquid inside the head.
Submit your sitemap
In Sitemaps, submit sitemap.xml. Shopify generates and updates it automatically.
Request indexing for key pages
Use URL Inspection on your homepage and best collections, then request indexing.
Watch the Pages report
Check weekly for crawl errors, redirects and pages excluded as duplicates or noindex.
Remove the password page first
Google cannot index a store behind a password. Launch first, then submit.
