About Shopify Student
Shopify Student exists for one reason: most Shopify guides are either thin content written to rank, or so deep in jargon that a first-time store owner gives up halfway. We write tutorials the way you'd explain it to a friend who just opened their trial account.
What we publish
- Step-by-step tutorials written in plain English, with screenshots where they help.
- Learning paths that put those tutorials in a sensible order.
- A curated library of links to other people's guides and official documentation. We link out and credit the source — we don't republish other people's work.
Who's behind it
Shopify Student is published by PromptSites.com, a web design and development team that builds and fixes Shopify stores for a living. The tutorials are free and always will be. If you'd rather not do the work yourself, you can ask us for help — that's how the site pays for itself.
Our independence
Shopify Student is an independent educational resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to Shopify Inc. “Shopify” is a trademark of Shopify Inc. and is used here only to describe the platform these tutorials cover.
Shopify updates its admin interface often. Every tutorial shows when it was last checked. If you spot something out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.
Still stuck? Skip the tutorials.
You've given it a go. If you'd rather have someone sort it out for you, tell us what you need and we'll take it from there.
