How to Install Shopify Apps
Choose and install Shopify apps carefully, review permissions and avoid slowing your store down.
Apps add functionality fast, but each one can add scripts, cost and complexity. A short review before installing saves a lot of cleanup later.
Search the Shopify App Store
Search for the job you need done, then compare recent reviews, pricing and how quickly the developer replies to problems.
Review the pricing and trial
Check the monthly cost, whether pricing scales with orders, and how long any free trial lasts.
Install and read the permissions
Click Install and read what data the app can access. If a widget app wants customer and order data, ask why.
Configure it and add theme blocks
Follow the app setup, then in the theme editor add the app block or embed where you want it to appear.
Check speed and layout
Run a speed test before and after, and check your product page on mobile for layout shifts.
One job, one app
Two apps doing the same job usually conflict. Remove the loser rather than keeping both.
